CLASS DESCRIPTION: The workshop will be based on physical theatre exploration - the connection between intention/emotion and movement. Participants will be encouraged to investigate further their own individuality through different improvisation tasks and games. To expand our performativity and creativity, we will practise two approaches, equally valid for a creative process - physicality evoking intention or emotion/thought embodiment. Through a playful and open environment, we will challenge our movement habits and develop a strong sensibility for detail and authenticity in the physicality.

Eliana Stragapede & Borna Babić

Eliana Stragapede (IT) and Borna Babić (CRO) are freelance makers, dancers and teachers based in Brussels. Their performance AMAE was awarded at The Copenhagen International Choreography Competition 2022 with the 1st place for the Choreography and Production Awards by Nederlands Dans Theater and Holstebro Dansekompagni. Furthermore, at Rotterdam International Choreographic Competition 2023, it got awarded with Partner Awards by Codarts and Dansateliers. Eliana is currently performing with Peeping Tom and Club Guy & Roni while Borna is collaborating with Ultima Vez / Wim Vandekeybus and Olivier de Sagazan. Sponsored by APS Bank & Finaro
