Class Description:
This ballet class focuses on enhancing both technique and artistry, helping develop strength, flexibility, and precision through a structured class that includes barre exercises, centre work, and across-the-floor combinations. Emphasis is placed on proper alignment, coordination, and musicality, while encouraging students to express themselves through movement. Whether perfecting basic steps or exploring more advanced routines, this class helps dancers refine their skills and gain a deeper appreciation for the art form.

Cindelle Bouard

Cindelle Bouard, born in France, started dance at an early age, with Monique Arabian (classical ballet) at the Chaptal Academy in Paris. Later, she was accepted into the Paris Regional Conservatory where she spent two years in Paris and Toulouse studying ballet theory, to teach dance. In 2017, Jean-Philippe Dury, artistic director of Elephant in the Black Box Company in Madrid, gave her the opportunity to join his Junior Company, where she received professional training in ballet and contemporary. She has been a dancer and teacher with Moveo Dance Company since 2018, where she has performed and toured various works. Throughout these years she has developed her choreographic skills and has been a part of the Moveo dance Company outreach programme. She continues to contribute to the Dance Community in Malta.

Class Description:
Clémence invites you into her universe; mixing contemporary, electro dance and floor-work. She likes to explore the different qualities and possibilities of the body, while working on the connection with the music, and the work of physicality. The workshop will go through several steps: a physical preparation, improvisation exercises to explore different qualities of the body, a physicality work (floor, jumps...) which will prepare us for the choreography.

Clémence Juglet

Clémence Juglet, choreographer and dancer, trained at Espace Pléiade in Paris, at Sabrina Lonis classes and at STEPS on Broadway in New York. She developed her own style by nourishing through various workshops abroad, battles and by working for other dance companies or projects: dancer for the movie “ The Dancer “ with Soko and Lily Rose Depp, dancer for Mazelfreten company for Olympic Games2024 or dancer in the Electro Street crew.
In 2018, she choreographed her first solo "The Other" which was performed in several competitions and won the 3rd prize at the Certamen Internacional de Burgos y Nueva York 2018. She created her second solo “ I need to” with the composer, Leon AFTERBEAT. The solo wins the 1st prize at the Solo Tanz Theater Festival Stuttgart 2021, at the Solo dance contest 2021 ( Gdansk Dance Festival), at the Certamen internacional de Burgos y Nueva York 2021, at the Solo Coreografico in Torino 2022 and wins the Acoran prize at Masdanza contest 2024.

Dive into the beauty of contemporary dance in this dynamic and engaging class! Designed for young dancers, this session focuses on building a strong technical foundation while fostering creativity and self-expression. Through structured warm-ups, you’ll develop core strength, flexibility, and alignment. Explore floor-work techniques, intricate pathways, and seamless transitions that challenge your coordination and fluidity. Work on mastering dynamic shifts between grounded and suspended movements, all while learning to connect breath to motion. Choreographic sequences will emphasise spatial awareness, musicality, and emotional storytelling and improvisation exercises will allow you to experiment with textures, shapes, and dynamics, helping you discover your unique movement voice.This class balances technical precision with creative exploration in an energetic and supportive environment!

Sarah Vella

Sarah is a dance artist & dance/movement therapist from Malta. After 12 years based in Berlin, Sarah moved back home continuing her artistic practice spanning from initiating, leading & supporting performing arts projects to taking on various roles as a performer, choreographer, collaborator, producer & educator. Her work has toured Germany, England, Norway, Italy and Malta and she has performed in festivals around Europe, namely 100 GRAD Berlin festival, NAH DRAN Berlin, Dance Festival Malta, Malta International Arts Festival, ZFINMADE for ZfinMalta, amongst others. Sarah is also an active community artist, bringing movement to various age groups, settings, & communities.

Contemporary Workshop

Our workshop will consist in a warm-up class that will then evolve into partnering exercises, exploring the connection between bodies and their countless possibilities together. We will conclude by sharing our repertoire, teaching a bit of our language and movement quality so that the dancers can explore and have the opportunity to experience our style of work.

Catarina Casqueiro

Graduated from the National Conservatory Dance School and began her career with a professional internship at the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel, supported by a Gulbenkian Foundation scholarship. She then joined the Portuguese company Vórtice, performing in Italy, Mexico, and Portugal. She has worked with independent choreographers René Vinther, Pedro Ramos, Nélia Pinheiro, Filipa Peraltinha, Gonçalo Lobato, and São Castro with António Cabrita. In 2023, at the invitation of Daniel Cardoso, she was one of the choreographers for the Quorum Project, debuting her piece Deep(in) at Teatro D. João V, and in 2024, she will be one of the choreographers for the junior company Kayzer Ballet, premiering her new piece Transformers.
Tiago Coelho

Graduated from the Escola Superior de Dança, he continued his training in Israel, Germany, and the USA. He has performed in productions by both national and international choreographers and dance companies, including Vortice Dance Company, Quorum Ballet, Teresa Ranieri, René Vinther Pedersen, Marco da Silva Ferreira, Fabio Simões, Patrícia Henriques, Victor Hugo Pontes, Pedro Ramos, Sofia Dias & Pedro Roriz, and Sylvia Rijmer. Recently, he worked with choreographer Damien Jalet on his creation Chiroptera, presented at
the Galais Opera (Paris). He was a guest lecturer at the Escola Superior de Dança from 2021 to 2023, where he taught Contemporary Dance Technique.
