Dance Festival Malta is a vibrant multi-disciplinary festival dedicated to nurturing Malta’s dance ecosystem by offering students and professionals a dynamic platform for intensive training and artistic growth.

Held over four days in July, the festival features an inspiring programme of workshops, masterclasses, and performances that celebrate the richness of global dance cultures. Showcasing renowned international artists and choreographers, Dance Festival Malta invites both audiences and participants to immerse themselves in the universal language of movement.

More than a celebration of dance, the festival serves as a hub for cultural exchange, fostering connections, sparking collaborations, and positioning Malta as a meeting point for the international dance community. Join us for an unforgettable experience that reimagines the way we see and engage with dance through passion, movement, and shared expression.

MASTERCLASSES

Dance Festival Malta continues to grow from a heartfelt dream into a vibrant, inclusive reality—and it is this journey that inspires us, year after year. Our passion for dance stems from its extraordinary ability to connect people across borders, generations, and life experiences. Through every rhythm, gesture, and story told in motion, we are reminded that dance truly is for everyone.

At Dance Festival Malta, we are proud to unleash the passion and power of dance, making international work more visible and dance in general more accessible to all. Our mission is clear: to introduce our audiences to both the boldest trends in contemporary dance and to productions that are uniquely accessible, engaging, and sometimes even controversial. We believe in the power of diversity and the importance of offering space to artists who dare to reflect the world through movement.

This year’s programme reflects the vibrancy and depth of what dance can offer. It is diverse in style, voice, and intention—an exciting mix that we can’t wait to share with you. The festival’s fringe is now flourishing with platforms that support youth, intergenerational exchange through Dance On, community projects, emerging voices, masterclasses, and workshops. We’re also thrilled to launch ARTIVISM — a new strand dedicated to artists who challenge and provoke through movement, using dance as a vehicle for social reflection.

We are more committed than ever to ensuring that all aspects of our festival are inclusive and accessible. We continue to expand opportunities for choreographers and dancers, support local artists to be seen beyond our shores, and build spaces where excellence, inclusion, and community can truly thrive.

In a world that feels increasingly uncertain, Dance Festival Malta offers a moment of solace—a gathering where there are no borders, only the boundless beauty of connection through dance. We invite you to join us. Be part of the conversation. Be moved.

We look forward to seeing you there.
